Tiffany Baumann Nelson is a woman of faith, who serves her church, family, and community. As executive director of a local non-profit organization, Tiffany leads with strength and grace. She has a deeply engrained work ethic and an incredible commitment to excellence, which she brings to every facet of her life including her service to the community.
Tiffany values service, which compelled her to obtain a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry. Her passion for ministry led her to serve on the Board of Directors at TOMAGWA Healthcare Ministry. Before that, she was a member on the Visiting Committee at Cleveland State University for the Fine Arts Department.
Currently Tiffany continues to give of her time and talents as she leads worship at her church and works as the Executive Director of Keep US Fed Montgomery County whose mission is to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste.
When it comes to facing obstacles and challenges, Tiffany is resilient. While raised by a single mother, she attended 20 public schools before graduating with honors and then going on to be the first in her family to graduate from college. Tiffany self-funded her entire college education obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business, demonstrating that even through adversity, with access to a quality education, one can persevere and achieve the American Dream. She has also proven she can persevere through pain. Tiffany is a 10 year stage three breast cancer survivor and continues to work advocate for breast cancer research through her non-profit she founded.
Tiffany and her husband, Jason, have six children, five who currently attend Conroe ISD, where she has been a member of the PTO, Highlander Quarterback Club, The Rebounders Club, and The Highlander Volleyball Booster Club.
Tiffany’s extensive list of philanthropic work are with organizations such as Big Brother Big Sister, The Brain Injury Association, Youth For Christ, and is on the National Speaker’s Bureau for America’s Promise. As a former Miss Ohio gracing the Miss America stage and later as a certified John Maxwell speaker and coach, Tiffany has delivered keynote speeches and workshops across the country on achieving excellence through adversity.
Tiffany has many hobbies but her favorite is music. In addition to leading worship at many churches, including her own, she’s also a recording artist, has travelled the world performing, and has sung our country’s National Anthem for the Houston Astros and the Houston Rockets, to name a few.
